Premier Rugby – Guinness Premiership Final 2009

BRIEF:

To add value to the fan’s MatchDay Experience and provided a more family-orientated experience beside the Guinness Village.

OBJECTIVES:

To provide a safe and fun entertainment environment with interactive games and activities reflecting the various Guinness Premiership clubs alongside participative training activities.

SOLUTION:

GLOBALGAMESSPORTS mobilised several components of the SportsFanPark alongside speaking to Guinness Premiership clubs who own our kit, to “donate” the activities for the day. This all culminated in a 2,400m2 activity space.

LOGISTICS:

Liaison with Premier Rugby and the RFU’s Health & Safety officer allowed us to provide a safe and secure environment for large numbers of fans.
All activity was supplied on two lorries and set-up on the morning of the event, the entire kit was packed and removed 2 hours after kick-off.

STAFFING:

7 Activation crew set up and packed the whole event and a combined team of 16 Event Activation crew and volunteers operated the event.

ROI:

As a brand new, free access, activity at the Guinness Premiership Final ROI would be calculated on Fan / Participant feedback.
This is currently being collated but the number of people entering and engaging with this Fun Zone was an incredible 4,000 in 4 hours.

STATISTICS:

10 interactive games; 3 Face Painters; 1 Guinness Premiership Trophy (+ 1 Bouncer); 4 Team Mascots; 24 Rugby Balls; No Alcohol!
