BRIEF:

GLOBALGAMESSPORTS were asked by this client to launch a club unity message into the crowd as a ‘thank the fans’ promotion towards the end of 2009. They requested the promotion was activated pre-match and at half-time to really help the club say thank-you to its fans for their loyal support.

OBJECTIVES:

The client outlined the following requirements that needed to be met through the activation of this promotion:

  • Engage a high percentage of fans pre-match and at half-time.
  • Say thank-you to it’s fan base in an exciting and memorable way.
  • Ensure a tangible element was installed to the promotion ensuring brand engagement after the match had finished.
  • SOLUTION:

    To provide the client with our Master Blaster promotion pre-match and at half-time. This exciting piece of kit is always well received with-in stadia all over Europe, and it didn’t let the fans down this time either!

    EVENT ACTIVATION ELEMENTS:

    Img-03The GGS Ops team liaised with the client prior to the event ensuring all health and safety aspects were met. Health and Safety documentation were cleared by the client’s stadium management a week prior to the activation of the event.

    LOGISTICS:

    Our event crew arrived on-site 4 hours prior to the first launch in order to carry out test shots, plan their route around the pitch and answer any last minute questions the stadium team had. During the promotion our team teamed up with the client’s PA announcer to help create a really exciting and adrenalin filled atmosphere.

    STAFFING:

    We have a strong core of operators here at GGS to ensure that the promotion has the biggest impact, whilst also ensur- ing the promotion runs efficiently and safely.

    ROI:

    The event was a huge success which gave the client’s fan base something different to shout about when the teams were not on the pitch! Lucky fans were able to wear their t-shirts at the match and take them home which ensured complete brand exposure for our client.
